The administrative offices help the University carry out its mission efficiently and effectively. Each division is led by a vice president who is responsible for implementing programs and services that are essential for the management of the University. All divisions report to the Office of the President.

The Office of the Provost at Norfolk State University bears leadership responsibility for the academic focus of the institution.  It plays a central role in the articulation, development, initiation and continuing support of the educational philosophy of Norfolk State University.

The Enrollment Management Office, seeks to provide the highest standards of excellence in enrollment planning. We actively identify, recruit, and enroll academically qualified students and provide services that promote student retention and success.

The Finance and Administration Division exists to support and facilitate the Instruction and Service goals of the University. It does this through the design and implementation of business and environmental services for our students, faculty, support staff and alumni.

The division of Operations and Institutional Effectiveness is comprised of eight functional administrative areas that provide enrollment guidance, communication, and technological support to incoming students, faculty, and staff.

The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to effectively develop students, while providing services needed for an empowering and transformational experience. Student Affairs is dedicated to creating a thriving community for student success and leadership.

University Advancement

The Division of University Advancement at Norfolk State University is charged with the task of coordinating fundraising programs and resource support for the university. These funds provide scholarships for our students; support for an outstanding faculty and resources to start new programs and enhance existing ones.
