Biography:
Dr. Hinds completed the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the University of Idaho with dissertation research in security of Wireless Sensor Networks. She completed the Master of Arts degree in Computer and Information Science from The City University of New York. and the BSc. degree in Economics at the University of the West Indies.

Dr. Hinds currently serves as the Program Coordinator of the BS in Information Technology program (BS. ITE) and she teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses. She supervises cybersecurity research projects to both undergraduate and graduate students with a primary focus in the areas of cybersecurity awareness education, security of IoT devices and Data Science and has been the recipient of several externally funded grants to support her research.

Dr. Hinds holds the Certified Computer Forensics Examiner (CCFE) certification, the Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO) certification and the Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA) certification.

She is involved in several outreach activities and is the founder of the ACM-Women student organization. Since 2013 she has served as Director of Cybersecurity summer camps for K-12 middle and high school students.
