Admission Requirements

General admissions requirements to Norfolk State University graduate degree programs include:

1. Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

2. Official transcripts sent to the School of Graduate Studies and Research. (Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded into the application portal.)

Applicants must also meet one of the following requirements:

  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work
  • A portfolio of relevant work experience (with a minimum of five years’ experience in the specific field of study).
