MISSION
The mission of the Norfolk State University Information Research, Education and Development Institute (IAREDI) is to
- Maintain cybersecurity curricula which are current, applicable to industry and which meet the content and excellence standards set forth by the National Security Agency (NSA)
- Ensure professional cybersecurity competency development among students and faculty,
- Contribute to the community through community cybersecurity awareness, K-12 cybersecurity introduction and support and provide resources and services o the CAE community
- Integrates cybersecurity practice within the institution across academic disciplines both STEM and non-STEM and provide cybersecurity synergy through this diversity of cybersecurity programs
- Actively engages in solutions to challenges facing cybersecurity education with regard to content being taught, pedagogy, preparation for the cybersecurity workforce and providing cybersecurity education access to currently underserved populations.
