Both NSU and NSU Board of Visitors (B.O.V.) member, Bishop Kim Brown, were recipients of Hampton Roads Encore Awards. During a virtual ceremony on December 30, 2020, NSU was presented with the Best College/University Award. Bishop Brown was presented with two Encore Awards – the Humanitarian Award and the Best Pastor Award.
Encore Awards are presented every year to recognize individuals and organizations in the Hampton Roads area that have supported the community through civic engagement, philanthropy, and service to others. NSU was among six universities/colleges nominated for the Best College/University Award. Similarly, Bishop Brown was among six nominees in both the Humanitarian Award and Best Pastor Award categories. During the Awards Ceremony, the many achievements and successes of NSU and Bishop Brown were showcased.
These awards would not have been possible without the dedication, commitment, and service to one another and the greater Hampton Roads region that all members of the NSU community demonstrate on a daily basis.
