NSU has played a huge role in helping me achieve my educational goals. Norfolk State has helped me financially with scholarships and grants, which have benefited me, as well as my family. Academically, the University has given me the knowledge and experience that will help me as a graphic designer. As an intern in Communications and Marketing, I received opportunities to design banners, sit in commercial and publication planning meetings, and experience great things I have never experienced before. Norfolk State University is definitely taking me on the path to succeed.
The faculty and staff here at NSU have helped me tremendously. Faculty here are very student-orientated and dedicated to success. They want to see you achieve and will help you along the way. While applying for my NSU Honors College application, I had numerous staff members available to write many letters of recommendation. Being a part of the Honors College has given me the opportunity to open more doors in my life. Also, faculty in Career Services have helped me in my search for internships. Just seeing their hard work and desire to see me succeed really has amazed me. The support system I have here is awesome, and I have really enjoyed being a Spartan!
Norfolk State has some of the best resources available. The faculty here are great and treat you like family. Having the opportunity to earn my degree and gain experience, all while on campus is more than what I could ask for. Norfolk State University can open many doors for your career, and I am making the best of my opportunity!
