Norfolk State Debuts New Video
(NSU NEWSROOM--June 26, 2014)--A pair of Norfolk State University students are featured in a new video to help promote the University and showcase the Infinite Possibilities of an NSU education.
The video, which hit the airwaves and the web this week, features Norfolk State University students Meghan Peji and Mark Freeman. The 15-second, 30-second and extended minute spots highlight the University’s great academic programs, attentive faculty, research and online programs. The visual promotion also showcases NSU’s family and military friendly-environment and close proximity to downtown Norfolk and the Oceanfront.
The video begins when Freeman, who plays an aspiring college student, asks Peji about Norfolk State University. Peji, who plays herself, responds with “I love it,” and then invites Freeman to look at an IPad set on the University’s homepage, nsu.edu.
Freeman then imagines himself as a student on NSU’s campus. Using stop-motion animation, a visual technique, Freeman begins his NSU journey in a laboratory, an art studio, the football field and other locations on campus. The animation ends with Freeman graduating from Norfolk State University.
The video was filmed and produced by Studio Center Total Production in Virginia Beach. The new video will air on WVEC-TV, WVEC.com and several channels on Cox Cable. The extended video will be released soon on social media sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
