 Library Opens World of
 Possibilities and Convenience

Access full-text classic books, poems and plays through the new l library databases Modern Language Association (MLA) International BibliographyLiterature Online (LION), and Literature Online (LION) Premium now available through the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library. Listen to all of Shakespeare’s plays through the LION database and get full-text access to ancient and contemporary books and plays. In addition, access criticism on literary works by a variety of authors, from Euripides to Jamaica Kincaid. The MLA International Bibliography contains scholarly research articles on subjects like literature, film, television, theater, and folklore.

Additional library services allow students and faculty to borrow resources directly from the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA). NSU patrons living near or visiting near other participating VIVA libraries, can access thousands of additional resources by walking into those libraries. To discover which Virginia colleges and universities are participating, visit http://www.vivalib.org/borrowing/. To check out a book at another VIVA institution, present your NSU Spartan card.  When the borrowed material is ready to be returned, simply drop it off  at the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library.
