Initial Licensure Programs

Requirements

Master of Arts (MAT) In Teaching Program  Grad. Non-Degree Teacher Certification Program Undergraduate Teacher Education Curriculum
Admissions  Applicants must pass Praxis 1.

Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.

Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and 2.75 in major.

Must submit a graduate application, 3 letters of recommendation, an official transcript, & a completed Certificate of Preliminary Endorsement Form 

Must have a minimum of 24 semester credit hours in the content area in which candidate intends to teach.

Must pass Praxis 1.

Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.

Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and 2.75 in major.

Applicants must submit a Certificate of Preliminary Endorsement Form 

During the second semester of their sophomore year, students interested in teaching should submit an application for Admissions to Teacher Education to Dr. Margaret Knight, as well as simultaneously complete an application for their junior clinical experience.

Students must have at least 2.5 GPA and 60 credit hours to apply.
