NSU Homecoming Celebration to be held Oct. 21-28
Norfolk, Va.—Norfolk State University will kick off its homecoming celebration with the New Era Gospel Explosion featuring James Hall Worship and Praise. Free and open to the public, the gospel concert will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 21 at Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall.
This year’s theme is Homecoming 2007: A Celebration of Achievements. Highlights of the week include a comedy show, a hip hop concert featuring Lil Wayne and Boosie, a step show, golf tournament, jazz reception, parade and football game, and several dances. New this year is the Spartan Homecoming Family Reunion, a fun-filled and festive opportunity for the entire community to fellowship and become acquainted with Norfolk State University. Featuring food, cultural vendors, music and NSU exhibits from faculty and student organizations, the Spartan Homecoming Family Reunion is also a time for alumni and friends to reunite and rekindle old friendships while developing new ones in a spirited atmosphere.
