Launches Off The Hook will air monthly and will be hosted by investigative producer for WVEC Channel 13 Dawn Stovall. Stovall has over 20 years of experience in news production including stints as an assignment editor, reporter, and public affairs director. Before joining Channel 13 News she was an assignment editor for News Channel 3. She has worked at WTAR/WLTY radio station in 1985 and prior to this assignment she worked for Bahakel Broadcasting of Iowa. Guest for the debut show will be licensed clinical social worker Jeremiah Williams who will discuss black parenting issues. Williams serves as the clinical director for the Living Waters Counseling and Wellness Center in Newport News. His practice centers on issues such as couple communication, adolescent behavior problems, marital counseling and counseling for multicultural and ethnically diverse families. Off The Hook will be a live call-in format. WNSB listeners will be able to call in to ask questions and interact with the show's host and guest. The show will be taped so that the program can be re-broadcast later on in the schedule. Additionally, Off the Hook will serve as a training ground for Norfolk State University students with desires of becoming radio hosts.
