  5. 500 words essay “How I was influenced to major in teacher education”.


THOMAS L. OLIVER

  1. Education major pursuing a career in teaching
  2. Must be a junior or senior
  3. Must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher
  4. Enrolled full-time


 

F.I.R.S.T. SCHOLAR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Teacher Education major (remain in teacher education track)
  2. Enrolled full-time
  3. Must have a 2.5 GPA (cumulative)



HELEN BESSENT-BYRD ENDOWED

  1. Special Education major (freshman)
  2. Must have a 2.75 GPA (cumulative)
  3. Must have a 3.00 GPA (in education courses)
  4. Enrolled full-time



RUTH WINSTEAD DIGGS

  1. Special Education major
  2. Rising junior, rising senior or graduating senior
  3. Enrolled full-time



AGNES MOORE JENNINGS

  1. Elementary Education major
  2. Must have a 2.5 GPA (cumulative)

THE VIRGINIA TEACHING SCHOLARSHIP/LOAN PROGRAM

  1. Enrolled full-time, pursuing a career in teaching
  2. Domiciliary resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia
  3. Cumulative grade point average of a least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale

  1. Elementary Education Major
  2. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA
  3. U.S Resident and resident of the state of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennessee
  4. Need-based
